This is 'interiorizing' to some other person in the imagination, or to himself/herself - the dialogue in the mind, the 'I' talking with the 'me'.

NOTE: Substitute he or she for the child. Change the 'he/she' to either he or she.

1. GRAMS: (ESTABLISH MUSIC AND FADE UNDER. CHOICE OF MUSIC BED OR FADE UNDER AND LOSE.)

2. LOU: I have a theory. Want to hear it?

3. SPOT: (RUSTLE PAPERS)

4. LOU: See these scores, music scores? That's what got me on to this theory, my music practice.

My theory, by Lou.

A child hears sound.
He/she hears sound before he/she can give anything a name he/she hears an ocean of blood swimming around his/her head and body. Through his/her veins.

5. GRAMS: (BLOOD OCEAN EFFECT)

6. LOU: Through his/her mother.
He/she breaks into the light of day.
He's / she's shocked when he hears he has a voice.
He/she finds his voice and screams.

7. GRAMS: (BABY CRY)

8. LOU: Then one day he/she hears what they call 'music'.
It's not noise. It's life. It's exciting and exhilarating.
It's a revelation.

9. GRAMS: (MUSIC OUTRO).
