Entrance - Exit (find your justification)
You must establish yourself from your first moment - the first thirty seconds that the audience see you are perhaps the most important. The audience will notice you of course - this happens when every character arrives. You are the centre of attention. (Perhaps your entrance is not to be strongly noticed - in which case you must learn how to make a 'weak' entrance.) Think through the WHO? WHAT? WHERE? Making an entrance is a skill - it needs rehearsal and thinking through. You have to give the audience confidence in you. Confidence in what you are doing. When an audience watches apprentice actors performing, there is always the lurking thought that the whole thing could go belly-up. You MUST give your audience confidence in you from the beginning. Think through your EXIT - this has to be motivated.
