Louis Myles Episodes 11 'The Longest Day'

Kidnapping and the action-world of TV's '24' will grip you in these five episodes.

 

SCENE 1

EXT: THE LOCATIONS OFFICE.

FX: THROUGHCOMPOSED SOUND BED OF MUSIC

FX: SOUND OF VAN SCREECHING TO A HALT. DOOR SLIDING OPEN, THREE MEN JUMPING OUT AND RUNNING ON PAVEMENT. THEY OPEN DOOR TO THE LOCATIONS BUILDING RUN THROUGH CORRIDOR, UP THE STAIRS, THROUGH THE CORRIDOR AND INTO THE LOCATIONS OFFICE

 

1 FELICITY: Who the hell are y…. (muffled noises as MAN ONE PUTS HAND OVER HER MOUTH)

FX: GUN CLICK

2 MAN ONE: Get on the floor!

FX: SOUND OF FELCITY BEING PUSHED TO THE FLOOR. GAFFA TAPE BEING RIPPED

3 MAN ONE: (ASSURED, QUIET) Keep quiet and this'll be over very quickly. Where is Olivia Teaseman? (PAUSE)

FX: MUFFLED SCREAM FROM FELICITY

4 MAN ONE: (LOUDER) Where is Olivia Teaseman?

5 FELICITY: (MUFFLED SCREAM)

6 MAN ONE: In the office at the back of the room?

1 FELICITY: (MUFFLED SCREAM)

F.X. "WE GO WITH" MAN TWO RUNS OVER TO OLIVA'S OFFICE BURSTS OPEN THE DOOR

2 OLIVA: (SCREAMS)

3 MAN TWO: Get on the Floor, hands behind your back!

F.X. GAFFA TAPE BEING RIPPED

4 OLIVA: (BREATHING HEAVILY, YELPS OF PAIN AS MAN TWO TIES HER UP) What do you want?

5 MAN TWO: You'll find out soon enough. (CONTINUES TO TIE HER UP) Where are the other two?

6 OLIVA: They're out of the office (YELPS IN PAIN) (MORE STEADY) They wont be back anytime soon

F.X. PUTS GAFFA ON OLIVIA'S MOUTH, DRAGS HER INTO THE MAIN OFFICE

7 MAN TWO: Got her! The other two won't be back for a while.

8 MAN ONE: We haven't got time to wait for them, I'll radio through to get the van in position.

9 MAN TWO: What shall we do with this one?

10 MAN ONE: (CONSIDERS) I'll deal with her.

F.X. MUSIC BECOMES LOUDER AS DOES OLIVIA'S MUFFLED SCREAMING AS SHE IS THROWN INTO VAN. DOOR SHUTS AND VAN SPEEDS AWAY

 

 

SCENE 2

IN A CAR.

FX: SWEEP (FX?) FROM MUSIC IN SCENE ONE INTO CAR SOUNDS. RADIO PLAYING

1 COLIN: I'm glad that's sorted, I think those locations will suit…em.. oh what's the film again

2 JACK: The Breakaway.

3 COLIN: Yeah, that's it. You got through to Oli yet?

4 JACK: No. I'm trying now but I keep on getting a 'Number doesn't exist' on both her mobile and office number.

5 COLIN: That's odd. You tried Flick?

6 JACK: It's the same for her, and she doesn't have a mobile.

7 COLIN: Oh. Guess we'd better skip lunch and get back to the office - shall I park in Castle Street Car Park?

8 JACK: Yep…

FX: SOUND OF VAN DRIVING SPEEDING PAST LEFT TO RIGHT

1 JACK: Blimey that Van is driving way too fast down here.

2 COLIN: That's odd - it didn't have any registration plates

 

SCENE 3

INT: WAREHOUSE.

 

FX: OLIVIA MUFFLED SCREAMS

 

3 STEVEN: You probably want to know why we've bought you to this warehouse in such an - eloquent - manner.

4 OLIVIA: (MUFFLED SCREAM)

5 STEVEN: Sorry I can't hear you. Perhaps with some encouragement - you may want to reconsider your actions. (CHUCKLES) Rip off the gaffa Tom.

FX: GAFFA TAPE BEING RIPPED OFF MOUTH

6 OLIVA: (SCREAMS) You won't get away with this! (SPITS)

 

7 STEVEN: (CHUCKLES) On the contrary, Ms Teeseman, after we've finished with you; I believe you will be most co-operative to our demands.

SCENE 4

LOCATIONS OFFICE LIFT.

 

FX: DOOR OPENING. STEPS OUT OF LIFT INTO CORRIDOR

 

1 COLIN: Yeah. I'll give them straight to Olivia. Can you open the office door for us

FX: BANGS AND MURMERS FROM COPY ROOM (RIGHT) (FELICITY) MUSIC BED TENSION

2 COLIN: What's that?

3 JACK: It's coming from the copy room; It sounds like Flick

FX: DOOR KNOB JAMMED

4 COLIN: the doors jammed

5 JACK: Hang on I'll break it down

FX: JACK BREAKING DOOR DOWN

6 COLIN: She's tied up!

7 JACK: Hang on a second Flick….

FX: JACK AND COLIN UNTING THEM

8 FELICITY: I'm so glad you're here! (composes herself) They've taken Olivia!

9 JACK: Whose taken Olivia?

10 FELICITY: I don't know - these (starts to cry)…these.. men… they they jumped on us…. It all happened so quick….

 

 

SCENE 5

INT: LOCATIONS OFFICE.

 

1 JACK: Ok - we've got to go this to find out what happened - Colin have you phoned the Police yet.

2 COLIN: No all the phones in the street have been cut off, as have all of our mobiles.

3 JACK: How can that be?

4 COLIN: I don't know, these people must have blocked us all off so we can't get any help

FX: PHONE RINGS. MUSIC BED TENSION

5 FELICITY: I thought you said the phones were dead.

6 COLIN: They are I don't understa…

7 JACK: (interrupts) Answer it.

8 COLIN: I'll put it on speakerphone

FX: CLICK ON PHONE

9 PHONE VOICE: By now you will have realised that Olivia Teesman has been kidnapped and is under our control. In order to ensure that she does not come to any harm, you will have to follow our demands to the letter; as, and when we give them. You are under constant surveillance by us and we can track you every move. Our first demand will be made through a phone call to the mobile phone taped to the bottom of Olivia's desk. If you fail to meet our demands Then Ms. Teaseman will invariably feel the fall;out of your actions . (beeps)

FX: MUSIC BED BUILDS UP TO FINAL CRESCENDO WITH THE FOLLOWING LINES OVER IT

1 JACK: (DISBELEIF) Bloody hell!

2 OLIVIA: PLEASE STOP IT (CRIES HYSTERICALLY) PLEASE STOP, PLEASE STOP (SCREAMS) PLEASE STOP (CRIES)
